Is it safe to take Wymox (Amoxicillin) while breast feeding?

Wymox (Amoxicillin) is classed by the FDA as pregnancy category B, which means it is not expected to be harmful to an unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during treatment. Wymox (Amoxicillin) can make birth control pills less effective and this could result in pregnancy. Before taking Wymox (Amoxicillin), inform your doctor if you use birth control pills. Wymox (Amoxicillin) can pass into breast milk and may harm a nursing baby. Do not use this medication without telling your doctor if you are breastfeeding a baby.

Can I drink alcohol while using Wymox (Amoxicillin)? 

Even though the consumption of alcohol has no known adverse effects when used in combination with Wymox (Amoxicillin), it is advised to avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medication. If you are ill enough to take antibiotics, alcohol should be avoided altogether anyway. In some cases, there may be no need to avoid alcohol, but you should always talk to your health care provider first before making any decisions.
